Cross Card

Hello Divas! Happy Friday!!
My project today is a card I made using the Sizzix fancy label flip it die by Stephanie Barnard. I absolutely love this die.

I also used the Sizzix framelits fancy labels by Stephanie Barnard as well.

And here is my card...........

Here is the inside..

It says "For God so loved you and me!"
Here is a side view of the card so you can get a better idea of what the flip it die is.

Hope you enjoyed my card! God does love you and me!

A Season of Green ~ Card sets are fantastic to have on hand..

Hello Divas,
The Month of March is the season of Green.. at least for me.. I was thinking of what my post would be on today and saw a beautiful patterned paper in my collection and thought.. YAY! Green..

I encourage you to choose a stamp set or two and get your dies out and make a card in multiples. It really is the best way to make sure you never forget an occasion or remember to thank someone. If you have cards on hand you tend to be quicker on sending that special note right when you think of it instead of waiting until you have some craft time..

I chose a sentiment stamp from Verve Stamps and the flower used is a stamp/die set from heartfelt creations and spellbinders..
the label used is Spellbinders also..

I simply took 3 sheets of paper, green, vanilla and my pattern paper and cut them done to size for layering.. I normally just eyeball this with my paper cutter.

I leave the inside of my cards blank so they are ready for anything.. :)

Remember making multiples is also fun when thinking of gifts for friends and family.. Who wouldn't appreciate a hand made card set made from your creativity and love..

Enjoy,

Liz

P-12 March sketch and January LO

Hello Divas,
Luisa again... today is time to share Project Life layouts and sketches!  Ready...

These are January sketch and color combination:

And here is my January layout:

I almost forgot about the green color and added at the last moment the green borders and changed the banner color to green!
As you can see I don't follow the sketch exactly.  I make it work for my pictures and my style.
This year I decided to use this Monthly Journaling long blocks.  Am using them for two reasons:
1) Consistensy in my layouts.
2) I don't have to worry about the Title anymore.

Also, since the journaling block has numbered lines from 1-8 I will try to limit my pictures to 8.  Not sure I will always be able to, but will try (lol)!

Just a reminder, here are February's sketch and color combination:

For the colors, you only need to use white/black/red and green.

Also, please be noticed I will be flexible with the use of the color combo.  But, if you do use it, you will get an extra ticket.  February layout is due on March 20th...

And since it's March already, here are MARCH sketch and color combo:

I love circles in my layouts and that's that appealed more to me from this pagemaps sketch.

As for color combination, I found this one to be "Springy" for me. Love the twist of adding grey color to yellow/green/pink!  What do you think?

REMEMBER:  If you use the color combination you get an extra point.

Due date for March sketch is April 20th, 2012.

Last but not least!  Don't forget about our Spring Fling Blog Hop...

Here is the picture of the Grand Prize!!!!

And also remember the "Spread the Word" challenge!  Here is the picture of the prize for this challenge:
You still have a chance to play...

Hugs and blessings,

Beckie Woodall - March Guest Designer

It is with great
pleasure and excitement
that I get to announce our March Guest Designer
here at the Divas' Mansion.

Beckie, is a wonderful Blend and a very talented
artist.  We are
absolutely thrilled
to have
her joining us this month.

So without, further ado, I now introduce you to Beckie . . .

Great Sunday to you my crafty friends! I’m Beckie of Just B Creative Crazy. I have been invited to join you as March’s Guest Design Team Member.

I am so super excited to have been invited to share every Sunday in March with you! YAY!

Here’s a little bit about me…

How long have you been scrapbooking?

Though I have been crafting off and on my entire life, I have only found paper-crafting since last September. I instantly fell in love and am totally loving blogging :0D

What is your scrapbook style?

I don’t know that I have a specific style. I just get an idea in my head and go with it. I guess usually I lean toward fun and cheery.

Where do you create your projects?

Ha ha…right now my craft space is a corner in my bedroom. It’s a cute little set up with a computer station and craft table. Don’t need much space to have a blast ;0)

What are your favorite scrapbooking tools/colors/techniques?

I simply love digital stamps and glitter. I do love to create with my Cricut, too. Being so new to paper-crafting there is a lot out there that I have yet to try…but I am venturing out everyday.

Where do you find inspiration?

My inspiration comes from fellow bloggers ! I love looking around and seeing the awesome talent displayed by all the friends I have made.

What is favorite scrapbooking tip?

There are so many tips, I just don’t know if one can answer. I guess the most handy tip I discovered is wet wipes! You can use ‘em for so much. I just love it.

Enough about me let’s get to the projects….

Since I’m gonna be with you the whole month of March, I’ve decided my monthly theme will be HAPPY! Today I wanna share a “Happy St. Patty’s Day” Card.

Here is my card…

I used the Spring Holiday Cards Cartridge. I cut everything at 5”. Then I accented with white gel roll pen.

Hope you’ve found some inspiration in my card. I would like to invite you to play along in a month-long challenge

Each week I’m gonna share a “Happy ….” Card. So if you wanna play, make your own “Happy…” Card and link-up. You can link-up as often as you want until March 23rd  March 30th.

I love prizes too!! So link-up and play along with me, then on my last Sunday post, March 25th  March 31st…Mr. Random Number Generator will choose a lucky linker to win the All Mixed Up Cricut Cartridge.

Mister Linky's Magical Widgets -- Thumb-Linky widget will appear right here!
This preview will disappear when the widget is displayed on your site.

Krafts Inventory and A Card

Do you ever go to your local Craft/Scrapbook Store and as you are browsing you pick up some
item that wasn't on the list of things you were planning to purchase?  Of course, we all have done that! Only to come home and to realize you have that already and you haven't even used it???

Now I am sure we have all done that at least once!  Well I have done that quite a few times!

So this leads me to the question.........

How do you keep track/inventory of all your goodies??

Here is a solution my sister found in the iTunes App Store!

Because of course.......THERE IS AN APP FOR THAT!!

Hope some of you can take advantage of this app.  So far its working for my sister and I.  It's just
time consuming to inventory everything.  But in the end it will be worth it.  You can also organize your projects in progress, ideas etc.

Now onto my card.........

Using my Rose Creations Spellbinders

And the new stamp set that I bought from Heartfelt Creations at the Scrapbook Expo.

I made this card.

Here is a close up picture of the flower.  I also brushed on some glittery stickles
 to give it some sparkle.

Hope you like my card!

Happy Crafting!!

Sketch for inspiration and time management

Hello Divas,
Happy March ladies.. I hope you Feb was fantastic and you were able to craft and get creative..

I was creating with one of my newest Stamp sets from Unity and thought I'd share with you how I get some ideas and what the benefit is..

I sometimes sketch out my card layout the way I want it to look and then pick a stamp set to put it all together.. This is very helpful for time management especially if you are making several cards for a specific occassion or just to have on hand for those special everyday moments.

Here is the sketch I did for today's post.. PLEASE note I am not a good artist.

Let's get started~ The stamp set used was Dare to Fly by Unity Stamp Co..

I saw this set and loved it for the versatility and flare.. I chose two color themes and got started.. The cards below were done fairly quickly using my Sizzix Circle Framelits for adding my focal image and stamped all in Memento Tuxedo Black. I then took a Q-tip and smudged cherb pink and olive into the birds body..

Take a look~

These cards are my fancy version and below I went Vintage..

Using Distress Ink I shaded the Kraft card base and Circle die for that aged look and managed to color in the bird using Distress Inks also..

Divas, once you have a set design in mind your imagination will do wonders..

Happy Creating..
