The Mansion is closing the Doors - DT Farewell Messages

 To:  All CSDivas Mansion friends,

It is with sadness and bittersweet feelings that we need to say goodbye to an amazing period that was born in February 2010 with a bunch of good friends.  Toccara, Theresa and my self!  We were 4 crafters willing to have fun and help bring ideas and inspiration to many crafters all around the world (thanks to the Internet...)

A few more crafters joined during these 2 years:  Sandy, Lori, Lora, Susan, Pam, Alecia, Vanessa, Stephanie, Yolie, Jessica, Michelle and Liz (I really hope am not missing anyone)!

I want to give  HUGE THANKS to each and all of you for being part of CSDivas for the period you were part of the Design Team. We learned from each other, we supported each other and we had so much fun together.  I can't imagine CSDivas without each of your contributions, we made a terrific Team.  And am glad to say that personally I made a a bunch of very good friends and that I don't discard the idea of meeting in person some day with a few of you!

Well, after thinking deeply we came to the decision of closing the blog.  The main reason is that our hectic lifes are getting in the middle of our crafty/blogging goals and we need to take care of our Families and other life areas.  We don't discard the idea of re-grouping on a later date.  The blog will remain open, we would just don't post anymore.

I will continue posting Project 12 Challenge on my personal blog:  http://www.creativedesignsbyluisa.com and will love to have you continue with the challenge with me.  I will also contiue sharing Project Life pages and the Divas Getting Organized challenge with a few changes!  Am also in search of Guest Bloggers for my blog if you are interested.

I will like to keep in touch with you via our blogs, Facebook, email or any other communication way.

Wishing all of you all the best and sending blessings your way, goodbye CSDivas Blog and CSDivas friends,

Hugs,
Luisa Morgan

I want you girls to know that this has been a wonderful time in my life being with you all.  I have gotten more ideas from the Divas than you could ever imagine and hopefully made some lifelong scrappy friends.  Maybe some day we will all get to meet at a convention or plan a meet.  until then, I will enjoy keeping up with your blogs and when my move is settled in, start sharing in some of your challenges.

It is with a sadness in my heart that I type this message to all of our lovely Diva Followers and Friends.  Here at the Mansion, we have all come to a mutual decision, that it is in the best interests of us all, to step down from our Blog right now.  The Creative Scrapbooking Divas were the first group of lovely ladies I had the pleasure of getting to know when I first started blogging and crafting in Blog Land with others.  They have all been a FANTASTIC group and I am ecstatic to say that I have made some awesome friendships along the way.  However, personal time constraints and dreams of future endeavors is prohibiting us from making the Mansion all that it can be right now.  We have enjoyed every moment giving tours at The Mansion along this journey.  The dedication of our close followers and friends has been amazing.  You have all made us feel welcomed and loved and we hope that you will continue to follow our personal blogs.  Now, we are not demolishing the Mansion entirely.  The Blog will still be open for followers and friends to view all of the fun resources that have been piled together since the start of this blog.  Please  continue to feel welcome to peek about and get ideas for your own creative journeys.  I do not want to say a farewell to all of you personally, because I know that I will see you in Blog Land and continue to build everlasting friendships.
 Please visit me here:

Sincerely,
Jessica Shelton

Hello all you Divas!! It is with sadness that I write this. I have really enjoyed my time with the Creative Scrapbooking Divas and meeting all of you wonderful ladies! I want to thank you CSD for giving me the opportunity to be on the Design Team and serving along side you beautiful gals! It has been a true pleasure sharing my passion of paper crafting. I hope you all understand our reasons for closing up shop. I for one was stepping down due to life just getting too busy and having to reassess my priorities. I hope that this isn't truly goodbye and that I will still see all you gals around.   Please feel free to visit my blog
at
Michelle's Happy Scrappy Place
God bless! ~Michelle

Hello DIGI Thursday..

Good Morning Divas,
I've decided today will be DIGI Thursday for my creating inspirations...

I had a very dear friend who got the nasty flu and needed a pick me up! Along came my Ducky theme card. Over at Cleardollarstamps.com they have the greatest Digi stamps. All affordable and easy to use..

I sent this card to cheer a friend.. but remember just because my friend is female doesn't mean with a little color change this wouldn't be a fabulous card for any male in your life...

Happy Kreating Divas...

Liz

Guest Post by Lisa West - Faithbooking!

Hello Divas,
Luisa here...  Today am excited to share another Guest Post from Lisa West.  This is a Faithbooking post and is amazing.
You can see more creations from Lisa at her blog: Letters and Lace!!!
Thanks Lisa for being these wonderful posts...

Let's move onto Lisa's post!

Psalms 139: 13-16 is the opening page (8x8) for my first Faithbook. The theme, You Are Who You are For a Reason, continues throughout this book with every page.  The last blog post (in Feb.) for

Faithbooking with the CSD 's shows the inspiration and some ideas for completing an 8x8 book carrying this same theme.

My inspiration for these awesome paper flowers came from Lisa at What A Beautiful Mess. I honestly have been referring to her flowers and flourishes for a while because they are so AWESOME! These pink flowers were stamped, cut out, and sprayed with water to crinkle up. After drying I inked and painted with Glossy Accents which also holds the jewels in the center. Metallic gold edges the flowers.

The little gold metal flowers are ornament tops flattened with a jewel placed in the center. I then handcut a few leafy vines from patterned paper to surround the yellow glittered flourishes.

This finishes my first complete Faithbook. I hope it was an inspiration to you.

Hugs and Blessings,

Lisa West!!!

Coloring Book Mini Album for the Birthday Girl

Today at the Mansion, I am sharing a birthday gift I made for sweet Ariana who will be turning 4 on April 3rd.  She is always peeking around the corner when I am browsing through all of my digi images.  Her soft, sweet, little voice always asks "can you make me a picture to color mommy?"
This gave me an idea . . . why not make her very own coloring book with some of the
girly images she loves so much.

I started with Medium Chipboard and printed out 8 images
from various artists:
and

I printed 4 images to one page, leaving the images to measure 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 after being cut.  This gave me the opportunity to cut my chipboard a bit larger so that the coloring pages fit inside comfortably.
I used a hole punch to cut 5 holes across the top of the front and back covers to be able to feed ribbon through later.

I then covered the  chipboard with some dp I received from my Blend
Cindy at cre8ivecindy.  I really liked the cream color for the front and the flower print for the back.

After picking out some coordinating embellishments and a fun stamp by Unity Stamp Co., it was all coming together beautifully.
The pink sticker has a cute little sentiment that I felt was fitting for my sweetheart.
It says, "i just love you plain and simple".  This left room for me to add
some alphas to place her name in the center.
This tag and the red flower next to it are from a set called
Lickety Splits by Imaginisce.
I added a punched butterfly from my BFF Teresa.
Photobucket
By the way, Teresa is the New Blog on the Block
and can be found at skybluepink creations.  Pop over and say hello.

I got the pink lace out of my stash and pleated it along the bottom and then added a satin olive green bow to offset all the pastel colors.
I tied some other ribbons from my stash to the top for added flair, and put the coloring pages inside.

It is all complete.
I am super excited to give this to her on her birthday!

Thanks for stopping by the Mansion!
Keep Crafting
:O)

That's right, we've extended the time to link-up. So get your Happy on ;0)

Flip-It Card

Here is a card I made using Stephanie Barnard's Flip-it Fancy Label die.

Here is the die.

I also used Stephanie Barnard's Sizzix Fancy Label Die.

Here are a couple more pics of the card.

I really like the Flip-it dies. I love the character and dimension it gives to a card,

no matter how simple the card.

Hope you like it!

Happy Crafting!

~Michelle

Happy Thursday Divas!

Hello friends,
I have had a busy busy week.. I am making my post short and sweet this week.. I am sharing two pages from my Scrapbook... I have had a fun time scrapping my nephews bday.. Always remember no matter how far behind you may get it is extremely worth it to scrapbook and re live those special moments you capture on camera..
I treasure all the moments and journal and keep notes on the events.. It's easy to do if you print your pictures and sort them in a box so when you have time you can feel organized and ready to go...

Happy Scrapping all..
